Engineered with 2” diameter tie rod and draglink, with 2.5 ton tie rod ends and oversized 1.25” threaded shanks, this heavy-duty steering kit delivers precise control, stability, and reliability whether you’re daily driving or rock crawling.

NOTES

Be sure to select the correct track for your model, as these models have different tie rod lengths.
Ends will come with grease in them, but they may need one more pump before getting on the road. Be sure to go low and slow whenever you top it off, as blowing out a grease boot does not count as a warranty claim.

1. What makes this a “2.5-Ton” steering system?
The oversized 1.25″ threaded shanks and military-grade ball studs were originally developed for 2.5-ton military trucks, providing huge load capacity over OEM components.

2. Do I need a professional alignment after installation?
Yes. Anytime you replace a tie rod or drag link, your toe and steering wheel center will change. A professional laser alignment is recommended.

3. Will this fit a flipped (high-steer) drag link setup?
This kit is designed for the factory orientation. A flipped knuckle end is not currently offered.

4. Can I reuse my factory steering stabilizer?
Yes. Both narrow- and wide-track kits retain the OEM stabilizer location and fit most aftermarket dampers without spacers.

5. What wheel backspacing is required?
17″+ wheels with 4.5″ or less backspacing will clear. Factory Rubicon/Sport/Sahara wheels require spacers or aftermarket wheels.

6. Will this cure death wobble?
If your wobble is caused by worn tie rod ends or a bent drag link, yes. But other causes (track bar wear, caster angle, tire balance) must be inspected.

7. How often should I grease the tie rod ends?
Every 5,000 miles or after deep water crossings. Just one slow pump of EP2 grease is enough. overfilling can damage the boot.

8. What’s the torque spec for jam nuts?
250 ft-lb with red threadlocker. Recheck torque after the first 100 miles.

9. Will it work with lifted Jeeps?
Yes — works with 0–6.5″ lifts. For lifts over 4.5″, a flipped drag link and raised track bar bracket are recommended.

10. Is there a lifetime warranty?
Yes. CavFab covers bending/breaking of Aluminum bars and cracks in 2.5-ton ends for the original owner. Boots and cosmetic wear are consumables.
