Uncompromising Strength: Jeep Differential Solutions You Can Trust

When it comes to putting power to the ground, your Jeep differential isn’t just a component - it’s the foundation of your rig’s capability. Whether you're rock crawling through Moab or navigating the trails of the Smoky Mountains, the right Wrangler differential setup ensures every ounce of torque is delivered where it counts. That’s why we engineer and produce performance-grade differential Jeep Wrangler upgrades that don’t just look the part - they perform when it matters most.

At CavFab, our journey started with the XJ platform, but our commitment to innovation and quality led us to develop high-performance solutions for a wide range of models - we’ve created upgrade paths for Jeep owners who demand more.

Our community has always been the lifeblood of our brand - and you’ve helped shape a product lineup that’s now recognized for precision engineering, trail-tested durability, and a no-compromises approach to strength.

Precision Fitment for Every Model - From the XJ to the Gladiator

No two builds are the same, and that’s why we offer options for a wide range of setups - whether you’re replacing worn-out stock parts or stepping up to full-blown performance builds.

Got questions about Jeep Differential covers or compatibility with your year-specific build like a 2021 Jeep Wrangler differential or 2009 Jeep Wrangler rear differential? We’re here to help. DIY guys love working with our parts because they’re built with installation in mind, using USA-sourced steel and aluminum and CNC precision to ensure tight tolerances that perform under stress. And yes - we back our parts with a lifetime warranty because we know how they’re built and how they’re used.

Trail-Tested in the Real World - Not Just on Paper

Our components have been battle-proven by some of the most respected off-road racing teams in the country, and that same tech goes into every Jeep differential cover or locking differential Jeep we offer.

We don't guess. We test - on our own Jeeps, on our own trails, and in our own hands. If you're running a Jeep TJ differential cover, upgrading a Jeep JK differential cover, or dialing in a rear differential Jeep Wrangler before your next event, you'll find CavFab parts are engineered to perform and built to last.

A Legacy Built by Jeep Owners, for Jeep Owners

We're not a faceless corporation. We started in a garage, built this company with our bare hands, and grew it alongside our customers who believed in what we were doing. We’ve seen our designs mimicked by the big guys - from our Alpha Series 3-Link Kit to our latest Jeep Gladiator differential

      Frequently Asked Questions

How do I figure out which differential cover fits my Jeep's axle?

      +

The fastest way is to identify your axle, not your Jeep model. Count the bolts on your current cover and compare its shape to the photos on our product pages - a Dana 30 and a Dana 44 look similar at a glance but take different covers, and Rubicon JLs and JTs run the M210 front and M220 rear. Every cover we sell calls out the exact axles it fits, and if you're still not sure, snap a photo of your axle tag and give us a call - we'll identify it for you before you spend a dime.

What does an aftermarket diff cover actually do better than my factory cover?

      +

Your factory cover is a thin stamped piece designed for street duty, and one solid rock hit can dent it into the ring gear or split a seam and drain your gear oil on the trail. Our covers are cut from thick USA-sourced material with a reinforced face and a flat, machined mounting flange that seals properly, so they shrug off impacts that would total a stock cover. For an axle you've invested gears and lockers into, it's one of the cheapest insurance policies you can buy.

Can I install one of these myself, or do I need a shop?

      +

If you can change your own gear oil, you can install one of our diff covers in your driveway in about an hour per axle. There's no re-gearing, no axle disassembly, and no special tools involved - you drain the fluid, pull the old cover, clean the mating surface, bolt ours on, and refill with fresh gear oil. A quality RTV or gasket and a torque wrench are all we'd add to the shopping list.

What's the difference between your standard and DIY diff covers?

      +

The standard covers arrive fully welded and ready to bolt on, while the DIY versions ship as precision-cut kits you weld together yourself, which saves you money and puts the finish work in your hands. If you have a welder and like doing things your own way, the DIY route is a satisfying weekend project; if you'd rather bolt on and go ride, grab the finished version. Both use the same USA-sourced material and the same design - the only difference is who runs the welder.
