The factory JK tie rod is not up to the task of larger tires and off-road abuse. Our JK solid steel Tie Rod is a direct replacement to the stock tie rod, and is a direct bolt on upgrade, no drilling or reaming required! Our HD Steel Tie Rod is constructed of 1.5" Solid 1045 alloy. This tie rod also includes HD 1 Ton Tie Rod ends, similar to the factory rod ends, however our 1 Ton Tie Rod Ends are much larger than the factory tie rod ends, and are directly greaseable via a zerk fitting (These require some maintenance for maximum life). Our HD Steel Tie rod will give you tight responsive steering on the street, and will allow you to no longer worry about damaging your steering off-road. NOTES
*We recommend this kit be installed with aftermarket wheels, the factory 17" JK wheels to not have a sufficient backspacing to allow for the larger rod ends to clear. A wheel with 4.75" Backspacing or Numerically less. If you run factory wheels with a 1" or larger wheel spacer this will suffice also.
